Assistive TechnologyAssistive Technology refers to the use of software and/or hardware to engage students and support achievement. The TDSB has licensed the use of Read and Write Gold to support all students. Assistive tech is essential for many of our Special Education students but it can benefit ALL learners. At Annette/High Park it is our goal to expose all our learners to this very useful software. It is installed on all classroom computers and can be downloaded by ALL students for home use. Read and Write Gold supports students in developing their literacy skills and allowing them to enjoy greater independence. Follow the instructions below to download and install Read and Write on your home computers. You will need the required user name and password to install the software. You can email me at [email protected] to request this info. In your email, please note the name of your child and his/her teacher for this school year.
